Q: What's your availability?
A: Photography is part-time for me; I work 8-5 on weekdays, and I'm usually free on weekends. I'm happy to squeeze you in after 5 PM on my work days, and any time on weekends that I'm in town.
Q: What areas do you service?
A: I live in Seguin, so I can meet anywhere in town or on the outskirts. I can also come to New Braunfels, San Marcos, Gonzales, and San Antonio. If I need to drive more than an hour to do a session with you, I may charge a fee for gas.
Q: Can I get photos taken in a public space like a botanical garden or zoo?
A: Yes, but I will ask that you pay for my admission as an added fee because it's difficult to work around people, and it usually takes longer to finish a shoot in public spaces. Meeting in areas like parks or trails is fine, though.
Q: Do you edit your photos?
A: I do edit for lighting and color, and I can remove basic blemishes or stains, but I do not have a facial editing software, so my edited photos end up looking very natural.
Q: How long will it take to get my photos processed?
A: Turnaround for finished photos varies depending on my schedule and the amount of pictures that I'm processing, but normal digital sessions shouldn't take longer than 2 weeks to edit and share.
Q: How will I receive my photos?
A: I save all photos to a Google Drive, where I make a folder for each session. Most people have a Google account, so I usually share the folder with them, and they can download the pictures onto their computer, or from the Google Drive app onto their phone. When I am finished downloading and editing your photos, I will send a text or email with instructions for how to view the folder and download the images. I can also give you a USB drive with the photos.
Q: What if I don't like how my photos turn out?
A: I'd offer a partial refund. I understand dissatisfaction if the finished product does not meet expectations, but since I spent time and money doing a session with you, I expect some reimbursement for my labor.
Q: Do you do photography for weddings?
A: Although I love weddings, I've never photographed one, and I would not feel comfortable capturing memories for someone's wedding until I get more experience.
Q: Why is the film fee so expensive?
A: I do not develop my own film because I don't have a proper space to store the materials, so I have to drive 30 minutes to get all my film processed in San Marcos for $20-30 per roll of film. Also, I provide the film, and a roll of film only has 34 pictures on it, so I have to be cautious when taking the photos so all of them turn out well. Email me for more info!
Q: What's the difference between film photos and digital photos?
A: When film in a camera is exposed to light through the camera lens, the image is captured on silver grains. This makes for a more unique picture. Digital cameras use an electronic sensor that reacts to light and captures an image in pixels. Digital photos are usually very high quality and easy to download and edit.
